Challenge Vs Problem

Do these two words have different significance in life ? How do we understand these two words so that we can tackle them causing no further trouble. After getting into many books and websites, what I would like to share you all are the following.
First understanding of these two words.
Challenge is something one can handle if he gets the method. One know what it is but not able to handle it.
Problem is due to insufficient or lack of knowledge of the issue and hence he looks for a solution from outside source.
For e.g.
I know the answer, but don't know how to communicate is a challenge. Not knowing the answer itself is a problem.,
Further more, challenge is that you are aware of it and gives you the option to prepare to face it or resolve it. Whereas a problem is that which happens without your control or due to your negligence. A challenge can become a problem when you don't take necessary action at the right time. So a problem can be self inflicted also.
So when a person is facing an issue, he must be able to put it in the right category so that he can take the correct action and get out satisfied.
In our life most of our problems are self inflicted.
Not proper action taken when I know it at challenge stage due to
a] Poor planning.. e,g.I know that in June, every year I need around Rs. 40,000/ towards educational expenses for my children. Still I don't plan and run for the money at the fag end.
b] Carelessness....We can hear some people saying " let it happen, then I will think what to do.."
c] Procrastination... like our filing of IT returns , or credit card payment within due date or any other bills.
d] Uncontrollable situation...you planned well for the payment, but some unforeseen and unavoidable expense accrue and you have to divert your funds there but still have to manage the original situation for which the funds are planned for.
Hence if one notices, most of the problems can be avoided if we prepare ourselves during the challenge period itself. Our health problems, financial problems, personal problems and professional are categorised under this.
To manage a challenge, one need to develop necessary skills or methods.Should also have positive attitude or otherwise points under "b & c" will be an perennial hindrance.Once developed these skills and attitude, can help us to manage whenever such challenges crop up. One will also be in a position to help others to manage their challenge. By this 80% of the problems can be managed and live a peaceful life.
On the other hand problem also accrue in our life. Unprecedented incidents, things happening all of a sudden  irrespective of  no mistakes from our end.But the number of such incidents in one's life will be not more than 10% . They need support from others, self resilience, positive attitude and courage to handle. If a person
learns to handle a problem, then he becomes more confident and is in a better mind frame when problems accrue later. Now slowly problems become challenges and thereby life becomes easy.

Power of Mind
What is Mind?
Is it subjective or objective?
Can we see it or only feel it?
To define it simply, Mind is bundle of thoughts and is subjective. It is feelings and controls all our actions.
Lets see this famous quotes that we hear often...
Where there is will there is way
If you have the mind you can do it.
I think your mind is disturbed, that's why you are not able to concentrate.... and so on.
All these refers to our mind , our thoughts.
We behave as per our thoughts. Is it not?
How these thoughts are formed? This is a simple chain that starts from our belief. Our beliefs are based on what we see and hear frequently and this keeps changing according to the place and people we are involved with. Our beliefs are also based on the knowledge that we have developed over the years. This knowledge helps one to analyze the situation and people or what we hear or see.
A father had twins son. He was a drunkard, womeniser and had all the bad habits that are there in this earth. One day he dies and by that time twins are grown up and moved to different places. One day the father's friend meets one of the twins and was shocked to find that he had all the habits that his father possessed. When the friend asked him from where he learned all these things, his replay was very simple that he learned from his father. On the other day the dame friend happen to meet the other twin in another town and found that he lived a good life with all good habits. This time the friend had a pleasant shock and asked him from where he learned all these things and the reply was very simple that he learned from his father. This story proves that it's up to us to interpret the situation in front of us and take what we want, avoid that we don't want.
What we believe helps us in forming our thoughts and we start applying it in action. Say if a person belives that

A simple way of looking at success

"Success", the mantra talked every where.Even a pre kg child is motivated on success and achievements. There are lots of forum today to test your ability and succeed. TV channels, school college activities, in corporates skills and social activities and so on.
However all these things teach us only one thing-"succeed at any cost" and don't turn back.
Right from childhood, one has been thought only about importance and need for success.
Failure is considered as shame and one's inability to success.
Failure is considered as crime and something that should never happen in any attempt.
People forget that failure is part and parcel of success. Ability to take failure as success is the only real success.
Second part of success is that , it's measured on materialistic achievements like money, prize certificates etc.
We forget that these materials are only temporary and belong to oneself and not shared with society or beneficial to society.
Success can be defined as "Success is not what you achieve, it's what society achieves through you".
So friends, when you start doing something, try to get answer for these two questions..
1] What benefit you get?
2] What benefit society gets?
If there is no answer to any one of these questions, pl. don't do it.

Tathvamasi will continue.
